What Causes Hallucinations While On Ativan?
My friend has end-stage lung cancer & is currently dying. She is taking Roxonol, Fentanol patches (2/dy), & morphine pills. They have her on Ativan & have now added Haldol for anxiety & irritation. She has gotten more agitated since going on the Haldol. Do any of these meds interact adversely? Could the Haldol be causing, rather than helping, her anxiety levels? She s having hallucinations as well & is agitated beyond description. Is there any other med that will help calm her down other than the Haldol & Ativan? Something that will be ok to take w/the morphine, which we can t stop due to her extreme pain levels? Please advise.
