What Causes Hallucinations While On Donepezil?
my 95 yr old mother was off her donepezil for 2 days. on the 3rd day began hallucinating and even though i gave her her dosage, her hallucinations have continued for 5 hours. Do u think this why? i gave her dosage tonite she has been hallucinating now for 5 hours

It is possible that this is a side effect. Some elderly patients are very sensitive to drugs. It is also possible that the hallucinations are from her disease, not from the drug. Contact her prescribing doctor for advice on whether or not to continue the medication.
