What Causes Hard Hitting Pain During Intercourse?

I had a hysterectomy over four yrs ago but I still have my ovaries. When my husband and I had sex the other day it felt like he was hitting something inside of me and I asked him if he felt like he was hitting something and he said yes for me it caused sharp pains and he said whatever it was was hard and hurt him too. He said it felt like I was wearing my kegal balls that I ve worn before. But I wasn t. I am just wondering what it could be.

Often pain with sex is dependent on position. If the pain was especially in the all fours position, chances are your sacrum was being hit during sex. This can cause pain because a lot of nerves come out from the sacrum (which is the lower part of your spinal cord) to the lower part of your body. If it’s just one position, try to change or avoid that position. However if it isn’t or if pain is severe, or long lasting you should see your OB/GYN to make sure it isn’t anything else.
