Hi, Yesterday a small lump suddenly appeared on my forearm. The lump has diminished but now there is bruising in the area and a hardish pea-sized lump under the skin. A few days ago I had some skin biopsies on my elbow on the same side. I m not sure if this is related to the recovery from the biopsies or something to be concerned about. Thank you.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Development of skin lumps is not associated with previous biopsies. Healing of biopsies will lead to redness and healing scars but not lumps. The lumps need to be investigated for the most probable cause. Lumps in the forearm can be due to soft tissue swellings. Aspiration cytology of these lesions is required to know exact nature of the lesions and thus plan treatment.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja P Wahal
