Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I usually produce stool without problems at least once a day. All week I have been straining to get one little pebble, which is often covered in mucus. Earlier in the week I felt nauseous, but now I just get intense waves of pain across my abdomen. I put a mirror by my anus to see why nothing was coming out, and it looks like my "guts" are blocking the way. I can see greenish-yellow stuff there too. What is wrong with me? Also, there are small black lumps under the skin right around my anus.
Hello, It sounds as if you are constipated and unable to evacuate stool. this can lead to intestines feeling full and "backed up" which can cause nausea. The black lumps around the anus are likely hemorrhoids which are dilated due to the constipation and are inflamed due to straining and pushing to have th ebowel movement. Increase water intake, increase fiber intake (fruits and veggies), consider stool softener like Colace, senokot , milk of magnesia, maalox, etc and suppositories and enema as needed.
