What Causes Head Rush With Pain After Standing Up?
Whenever I stand up, I get a head rush that has now begun to be a little bit painful. This morning, I was woken up but a throbbing head-ache, and when I rose, again I had a head rush, though not as painful. I am also now experiencing numbness in my left index finger.

It is possible for the blood pressure to drop after you get up. To prevent it is necessary to get up gradually (sitting from lying for a few minutes and after that standing). If these issues become bothersome, you should see your Doctor.
