What Causes Headache After An Ear Injury?

My 4 year old son hit his head right behind his ear because his 2 year old brother pushed him. It bruised but no bump formed. He cried and acted normal except that he s been saying he has had some headaches since. I have three small boys so I know the routine with head injuries (cried, walked, acted normal after), but I ve never encountered the headaches before. Is this a concern?

As a matter of fact head injury should never be taken as granted but this need to be kept under observation for some time, because anything could happened at anytime and ideally this need be investigated at least plain x-ray would be necessary, hope this information helps, have a nice day.
