Neurologist 's  Response
Hello,

It is fine to do a CT scan to exclude brain lesions. An MRI would be even better but it depends on availability, perhaps only CT is available, or MRI schedule takes too long, your doctor should know better.

I suppose his suspicion is that the episodes were seizures. For that reason, he asked for brain imaging to search for possible seizure origin like past stroke or tumours which I agree with.

I would also recommend an EEG to be scheduled to search for abnormal brain electrical activity which could support the diagnosis of seizures.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Olsi Taka, Neurologist
