What Causes Headache, Upset Stomach And Intolerance To The Smell Of Food?

my husband gets very sick (headache, upset stomach) when ever I use lotion hair spray cooking smells.I am in the other room with the door closed. It s not all the time but lately its happening a lot more frequently. its getting very annoying. I can t cook anything especially with fresh herbs. or use any lotion. He couldn t even stand the smell of the turkey cooking and he loves turkey.is this some kind of sickness or is he just sensitive to smells

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of your husband getting hypersensitivity particularly to the specific smells.
Most of the times this is psychological by the problems has to be well evaluated by nasal endoscopy by an ENT Surgeon, MRI of the nose and the brain and the olfactory nerve area just to rule out any tumor or so.
It is possible that he has recovered recently from severe flu or upper respiratory tract infection.
It is possible that he may get back to normal over a period of time, but till then you all have to avoid all those things that irritate him to avoid the permanent psychological trauma.
