What Causes Headache, Weakness And Fever After Drinking Dexpoten Syrup?
four month ago for the first time i drunk Dexproten syrap (made by Bangladesh).i drunk it in every week one time.20days ago i stopped it. But now i have some problems: bad headech,weakness,fever,i feel it smel e.t.c.pls tell me what can i do?is it liver problem?
Dexpoten syrup contains dextromethorphan, pseudoephedrine and triprolidine. This combination is used to treat cough with expectoration.Usual dose is one spoon twice or thrice a day.If you have taken it only once in a week it should not worry you.
Headache , weakness, fever could be because of some infection.You will need detailed evaluation to recognize foci of infection.Consult a physician,he would ask you to get complete blood count to rule out bacterial infection.
Liver disorders usually present with vague abdominal pain, vomiting, jaundice.Symptoms explained by you is unlikely to be due to liver problem.
