What Causes Headache Which Goes Down The Jaw And To The Back Of Neck?

hello I have been having horrible short lived headaches that start at my temple go down through my jaw and to the back of my neck whenever I switch positions from sitting to standing or vice versa. What could this be. My son bounced a basketball into my jaw the other day but it wasn t that hard but now wondering if that is what could be causing this.

Thank you for choosing HCM

There is a chance that this is due to the injury to the jaw. The jaw pain is being referred to the head and making it seem like you have a headache. Here are a few things you can try to help you:
Drink lots of water
Ice the jaw area for 15 mins at a time
Rest for 45 mins and then repeat 5 times daily
Also, apply Ibuprofen gel to the jaw area to reduce the pain

Follow up after 3 days. All the best.
Hope this helps you
