What Causes Headaches And Tightness In Chest After Exposure To Smoke?

My issue is i feel fine then i go to work in a smoky welding shop and in 2 or 3 days i am stuffy head ace and tight feeling in my chest. Im a welder and because of these symptoms i miss a few days a week of work, i do have really bad seasonal and some food allergies as well.

Hi, I had gone through your query and understood your concerns.

Sir, smoke due to high density than normal air and cannot be diffused inside arterioles causes chest tightness. Headaches can be because of reduced oxygen in the air you breathe which further reduce the perfusion of brain.

You need to wear protective masks, regular pause in work and breathe fresh air for now and then.

Regarding allergies, Be prepared before the seasons with masks etc. And food, there is no other go, you have to avoid taking them.
