What Causes Headaches From Back Of Neck To Forehead?
I have been having bad headaches from back of neck to forehead...I am 71 yrs old and have been doing ab crunches for a few weeks and a week ago I started having these headaches and nausea...I have had some back problems occasionally over years and when I do, I have gotten headaches similar to these. Sounds like it could be a pinched nerve. Does that sound possible??
Welcome to HCM and thanks for your query. You are right. You have cervical spondylosis, a condition due to wear and tear of the neck bones. When you do forward bending exercises, the nerves supplying the back of neck to the forehead can get pinched by a prolapsed disc and it can produce an ache radiating from the neck up to the forehead. You should rest your neck and avoid forward bending. You can use a muscle relaxant and an anti inflammatory medicine for pain relief. If the pain does not improve you should have imaging studies of the neck after consulting a doctor. Wish you a quick recovery Dr. Noble Zachariah
