I am 19 years old. For the past 2 weeks I have been unusually tired no matter how much I sleep during the night. I could sleep all day long and I can t do anything without taking a nap. I have also been really thirsty. I drink plenty of water throughout the day. I have frequently been getting headaches.
I read carefully your question and would explain that there are different disorder which could lead to this clinical situation: - a thyroid gland dysfunction - diabetes - a pituitary gland dysfunction - adrenal gland dysfunction - an infection
I recommend consulting with your doctor for a careful physical examination and some tests : -blood work: complete blood count, blood osmolarity, fasting glucose, thyroid hormone levels, blood electrolytes, inflammation tests, cortisol plasma levels -urine analysis, including urine osmolarity -a brain CT scan or MRI scan would be necessary to examine the pituitary gland
You should discuss with your doctor on the above possible causes. Hope to have been helpful!
Kind regards, Dr. Aida
