What Causes Hearing Sounds In Ears In A Person With Sinus Infection?
I have a drum beating sound in my left ear. I have had a sinus infection and bronchitis recently could this be a result of it. My ears have also hurt probably an ear infection, but this drum beat, or my heart beat sound is still going on and very annoying.
Hi, Welcome to healthcare magic. I had gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
This could be due to eustachian tube dysfunction secondary to sinus infection. This is a tiny tube which connects inside ear with back of the nose. I recommend the following.
1) Oxymetazoline nasal drops. Don't use this drops continuously for more than 6 days. 2) Oral decongestant like tablet levocetrizine with phenylephrine. 3) Oral steroids to relieve eustachian tube edema.
You will be fine. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any questions, I am happy to help. Wish you a good health and speedy recovery. Regards, Dr Paparaja S MBBS MS Consultant ENT Surgeon
