What Causes Heart Muscle Stiffness?
I just had a echo cardiogram and the nurse called and said I had some Heart muscle Stiffness, but didn t really go into detail. When I asked what caused it (I already have CAD 4stents), she said probably HBP over time and a natural aging process (im 56yrs old). When I asked her what the treatment would be she said, Lasix. I told her I already took Hctz and she said nothing. Should I be worried? Should I avoid exercise? I am fairly sedentary as it is

Hi I read your query very carefully.
Your heart muscle stiffness may be due to hypertension and ischemic heart disease.
The best way to treat it is to control your BP, a healthy lifestyle and cardiac exercises.
A part of that you should add to your therapy a more potent water pill as lasix which will help you more than hct.
