What Causes Heart Palpitations After Having Altace For High BP?
I have been taking altace 5mg daily now for a couple of years for hypertension and protection of my kidneys as I have longstanding type 1 diabetes. Sporadically I am noticing palpitations at night when I am relaxing at home after work. Could the altace be contributing to the palpitations I am experiencing or if it was the altace, would I have the palpitations every day?

Your palpitations are not related to altace.
I would advise you to see your doctor to perform an ECG and further tests if needed to find out the cause and receive appropriate treatment for it, if there will be a need
