What Causes Heart Palpitations For A Short Period Of Time?

Perhaps, is it true that palpitations or skipped beats are okay to have? I ve had them for years, occasionally for a short amount of time. Today, I am having about 10/minute. I don t use caffeine or nicotine and am not under any stress. 58 yo, female, active and healthy, on thyroid meds for 25 years.

I have gone through your query and I understand your concerns.

In the most common cases palpitations are benign. High activity of thyroid can be the cause of palpitations sometimes.

However you need an ECG and a holter monitor to check your condition.
