What Causes Heart Palpitations In Case Of MVP With MR?

26, 5'10, 179 lbs, Exercise x5 a week, 50 mins cardio, 25 mins weights. I have MVP with slight MR. Off and on PACs up until July 3rd, now I get them once every 2-3 minutes for 16 days now. Exercise and at rest. No caffeine, booze, tobacco, drugs... 8 hrs of sleep a night. Resting heart rate of 59. Why? When will they go back to being an occasional bother and not a persistent pain in the ass.

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Mitral valve prolapse patients are more prone to develop PVCs. But the response to catheter ablation and survival rates are normal as compared to who is not having MVP. So don't worry please consult your Cardiologist/ depending upon severity he may treat you with drugs or with catheter ablation methods.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
