Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a runner (3:55 PR for marathon) and am training for my first ultra of 125 KM through the mountains in August called the Canadian Death Race. I on occasion have heart palpatations where my HR will climb to 260 + beats per minute when the exercise is not very grueling. They dont last long (maybe 5 mins) but it is concerning. I am generally healthy so just wondering if this is a cause for concern?
If your device measure correctly, 260 bpm is not normal, it can be arrhythmia. In this case I would advise you to undergo Holter ECG monitoring or stress test to find out what kind of arrhithmias do you have.
Hope I could help you.
In case of further questions don't hesitate to ask.
Regards, Lilit Baghdasaryan
