Hello, I read your query and understood your concerns. The under active thyroid usually is a chronic problem and the treatment is long life. You didn't mention how the thyroid function is after starting the treatment, it is still low or has gone back to normal? The increase in heart rate suggest for an over dosage of levothyroxine. If you haven't checked since before starting levothyroxine i would suggest to do a TSH level and adjust the dose. Regarding to the weakness of the arm and foot i would suggest to see a neurologist because it isn't caused by hypothyroidism. Hope i was clear and informative. Wish you good health. Kind regards, Dr.Mirjeta Guni
