Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am on Epilim and Zoloft. I took them tonight but later than usual. I have been feeling sick, kind of like indigestion or heartburn and I began vomiting. I thought that because I didn t take the Epilim with food it may cause this but not sure because obviously some food was in my stomach or I would not have vomited
In a few patients, epilim may cause gastritis with nausea. It may be due to spicy food or alcohol consumption or infection. Use tablet pantoprazole before breakfast for one week.
Use tablet Ondansetron twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your physician he will write alternate antiepileptic drugs for you.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Penchila Prasad Kandikattu , Internal Medicine Specialist
