What Causes Heat Intolerance And Excessive Sweating?

OK, will do. For about the last 10 years (I m 69) I have had heat intolerance to a greater degree than ever before, and have also started perspiring heavily, but only from my head/scalp, not underarms or elsewhere. Does this indicate anything? Thanks, but I will ask my own doctor next time I see her; this is not an urgent problem.

Dear Patient,
I understand how frutrating this feeling can be.
In case you are a female patient and if these symptoms started around menopause then these would be vasomotor symptoms of menopause, and can be easily treated with hormone replacement therapy.
Thyroid dysfunction can cause also these symptoms, and i recommend doing TSH and free T4 to see if you have hyperthyrodism and treat it if it is present.
Best regards
