What Causes Heaviness In Chest With Breathlessness?
every so often for the past couple months my chest (solar plexus, or lower area?) feels heavy and I have a difficult time breathing, not necessarily shortness of breath, but like I have to suck in a lot of air to feel like my lungs are opening enough. compression of sorts. sometimes if i breathe and listen when this happens i sound a little wheezy. i m not sure why?
Thanks for your question on HCM. I can understand your situation and problem. In my opinion you should consult pulmonologist and get done 1. Chest x ray 2. PFT (pulmonary function test) to rule out early bronchitis. Because difficulty in taking breaths, wheezing etc can be seen in early bronchitis. So better to first diagnose yourself and start appropriate treatment. PFT will also tell you about severity of the disease. And treatment of bronchitis is based on severity only. So consult pulmonologist and get done PFT to rule out bronchitis.
