Hi,
Prolonged periods can cause heavy bleeding when you gets periods after missed periods.
First you need to know cause of irregular periods. Low hemoglobin , thyroid problems or polycystic ovaries can cause irregular periods. I suggest you visit a gynecologist and get investigations done to rule out cause.
Until you get appointment with gynecologist I suggest you visit a primary doctor if you are having heavy bleeding. Doctor would advice tranexamic acid to reduce amount of bleeding.
Thank you.
