What Causes Heavy Bleeding And Drop In HCG Level During Pregnancy?
My Girlfriend and I are 9 weeks along. She had a heavy bleeding episode last night. We went to the ER and they ran all kinds of test. They said she had a bleed in her uterus or that s what the believe. She is 38 and in good shape but has had a lot of issues so far. The HGC levels dropped to 80000.00 and the heart rate was 78. Is she likely having a miscarriage? They said with the bleeding, which has stopped now, makes it 50/50 now. I was concerned with the drop in HCG and Heart rate below normal from what I have read.

well , not to scare you but yes if there is an hcg fall of more than 66 per cent than the previous value in 48 hrs , that pregnancy is likely to be a failed pregnancy and shall get aborted or undergo missed abortion.
