What Causes Heavy Menstrual Bleeding?

Dear obyyn I had fibroid emberlazation surgery 4 months ago due to heavy periods my obgy told me bleeding should slow down after surgery however I am still hemorrhaging during my monthly cycle I am losing a lot of blood/ have to stay in bed for the first 2days of cycle I am getting worried because my condition is affecting my job and daily activities please help

Hi,

The bleeding should have been better after surgery.

Maybe you should be treated with progesterone hormones to reduce bleeding. You also should take iron therapy because maybe you are anemic.

Most probably the surgery was not effective and you should be checked by hysteroscopy and maybe another embolization is needed.
