What Causes Heavy Period Post Prostap Injection?
Hi Dr. I had a laparoscopy and excision of endometriosis on 28 Oct, including removal of cysts on ovary. Consultant perscribed pros tap 3 month injection and 1 HRT tablet a day for 3 months and then try to get pregnant Consultant told me I would not have period for 3 months with injection. Today I had the worse period pain and heavy cycle, less than one month after injection. Really worried that this is not normal. What is going on and what should I do? Please help!

I really appreciate your concern. Sustained release Prostap injection should stop your periods. If you are having periods then you should consult your treating doctor. He/She can have better idea about bleeding after physical examination. Prostap injection is not having side effect of bleeding.
