I was put on the depo shot in January to stop my periods because of ovarian cyst pain. I was told by the doctor that it should stop my period for three months and to come back for another shot in April. I haven't had my period for the two months of being on it, however, it came heavily this month. Is that normal?
When you are on Depo shot you may see spotting/bleeding or prolonged bleeding during the initial 1-3 moths. It may vary from women to women but its normal, just get connected to your treating gynae for the next shot. In the mean time take food rich in iron, calcium & protein, keep yourself well hydrated, stay away from addictions & do regular exercises.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
