What Causes Heavy Periods And Vaginal Spotting Along With Back Pain After Using Copper T?

Hi there, I had a copper coil fitted on the 10th may, had a long heavy period which started on the 13th may and finished on the 21st may, since then I have crampy back pains followed by spotting every so often, sometimes its red, sometimes brown and just now I passed a clot the size of a grape and seem to be bleeding a light red/brown colour. Is this normal?

Hi,

Few ladies do get profuse bleeding, coming irregularly. This may go on for few early months after insertion and then gets adjusted. Consult your treating gynecologist to reduce bleeding.
