What Causes Heavy Periods Followed By Thin Watery Discharge?

For several months, around the second day of my period I will get a sudden heavy flow for an hour or so, and it is very thin and watery. I generally bleed for four or five days in total, changing tampons every four to six hours, or whenever I use the toilet. I am 35, with three children, all cesarean births, and no unsuccessful pregnancies. Is this something I should be concerned about?

Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. If the periods are regular with no excessive bleeding with passage of clots, then there is unlikely to be any problem.
Sometimes, the pattern of flow and bleeding during periods gets altered with age, however if it is cyclical with no menorrhagia, then there is nothing to worry.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
