What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding After Taking Alcohol?

Hi I Am taking microgynon and have bee. For 5 months i.was told.by my doctor.to not have a gap week as it was helping my endemerltriosis, i have been.fine taking it and had no problems.atall until last week i went out to celebrate my 21st and had a few drinks, within a few hours, i was bleeding quite heavily.and have been ever since, i am just wondering if you could help me

Hello,

If you are not taking the placebo pills and not having a cycle each month, it may have just been the time for your body to have a cycle and it wasn't from your drinking.

Most women on continuous OCP's (that don't take the period week pills) will have some bleeding by the third month of pills. You got lucky and made it to 5 months. You should discuss this with your doctor.
