What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding During Pregnancy?
im 13 weeks pregnant, had a heavy bleed early hours this morning and passed a big clot (what i thought was the baby) went to the hospital, bleeding stopped but still a little pain, had a scan and the baby was still there?! heartbeat as well.. they said i had a 4 cm bleed at the back behind the placenta, this was proabably becuae my placenta looks a bit rough around the adges but otherwise fine? I still dont really understand any of this and is it likely i will misscarry?

This could be clot behind the placenta which you have passed out.. You need to take bed rest with progesterone support.. If the baby is fine and os is closed, no need to worry.. Small clots behind the placenta will spontaneously resolve..Follow up scan after 1 month.. Hope I have answered your query.. Good day..
