Hello, Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. In the current scenario, the most likely cause for the heavy and prolonged bleeding is hormone disturbance. This is because you shifted the normal dosage pattern of the oral contraceptive pill. This heavy flow has to be arrested through use of styptics and if necessary, hormones. Take bed rest with elevation of foot end. Inform your health care provider. Get blood counts and coagulation profile. A sonogram of the pelvis, if possible aids in management. Maintain proper hydration. Your symptoms are also related to the abnormal hormone pattern. Hope you find this information useful. Wish you good health.
