What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding While On Brevinor Pill?
Hi there, I have been on Brevinor continuous pill for 3 years now and I have heavy bleeding and stomach cramping. Is there a chance that I need to have a break from my pill or could it be something more serious? It isn t like a normal period (which I haven t had for 3 years!) , it is very thick and dark. Should I go to my doctor????? Thanks
It would have been easier to understand your situation if you had mentioned if you are taking Brevinor for treatment of PCOS or for just birth control! However, heavy bleeding and stomach cramps should not be observed after treatment with these pills for three years. Have you been to your gynecologist for routine examination after the pills were first prescribed before 3 years!
My advise to you is to make an appointment with the gynecologist for physical examination and further investigations. You might have to go through blood tests and/or ultrasound. Based on the test results, medicine dose can be adjusted, it can be changed or other supplemental therapy can be started.
I hope this answer helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I welcome any follow up questions.
