I just had a conlonoscopy and have had several in the past, due to ulcerative colitis. However, this is the first time that I am experiencing severe hiccups. They have been on and off all day for about 12 hours. Is this normal?? I am a 57 year old male!
Hiccups are caused by myoclonus of the diaphragm or in simple terms jerky movements of the diaphragm. Take Tab. Metoclopramide 10mg before each meal. You will be all better
