Got very dizzy yesterday evening. Passed out for a couple of seconds. My friends rushed me to emergency room. After a battery of tests doctors informed me that my Thyrotropin levels are 14.48, ref range 0.30 - 4.00 and said I need to see an endocronoligist right away.
Hello, Welcome to Health Care Magic. I read carefully your query and I understand your concern. The high Thyrothropin(TSH) level it caused by the missing amount of thyroid gland hormone in the blood that mean that there is a under function of the thyroid gland(Hypothyroidism). Causes for hypothyroidism are: iodine deficiency, autoimmune disease e.g. Hashimoto thyroiditis, thyroid surgery, treatment for hyperthyroidism, radiation therapy and medication e.g. lithium, etc. For a better cause determination and treatment you should go to an endocrinologist. Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions. Kind regard, Dr .Marsida Janko
