What Causes High Blood Pressure After Double Mastectomy Reconstructive Surgery?
Hello, I had a double mastectomy reconstructive surgery mid July. my blood pressure has been on the higher side ever since like like 137/82, other days 137/92. prior surgery I was normal. Can you please advise if and when I should be concerned? thank you
Sometimes there are hormonal changes after such surgeries, which lead increase of blood pressure. Your blood pressure is not that high to be concerned. I would advise you to continue monitoring blood pressure for a month, meanwhile try to cut salt in your diet, lose weight if you are overweight and exercise regularly. If your blood pressure exceeds 140/90 after a month, I would advise you to see your doctor.
Hope I could help you
Wishing you good health
