What Causes High Blood Pressure And Heart Murmur?
Hi I am 56 years old, female and have been taking high np meds since I was 23 after the birth of my 1st child. For the past 6 months my np has been out of whack. Readings such as 155/105 140/100 my weight is 158 I am 5 2 non smoker non drinker and I pay close attention to my salt intake. What am I not doing right. Also some Drs say I have a slight heart murmur other times they are unable to detect it. What s your take on this please. Correction BP

Well come to HCM
You have boarder line hypertension diastolic pressure is mainly concern this should not be above 90 mm of hg, you are in need of treatment, conservative line of treatment, like change of life style, salt restriction, calorie cut down, aerobic exercise, no stress, if this fails to work then drug can be tried for BP, heart murmur needs differentiation, because this could due to low hemoglobin, get done ECHO test for this, take care.
