What Causes High Blood Pressure, Body Enlargement With Back And Leg Pain?

hey?? I m gonna ask a question?? my Dad got a very high pressure (140) and his body is becoming bigger.... He have always a pain in his back, leg, body.... He is Always feeling a pressure on him and his head is too hot.. So what to do??? Thank You :)

Regarding your concern, I would explain that his clinical situation seems to be complex and several underlying causes could be possible: heart failure, an infection, adrenal gland dysfunction, an inflammatory disorder, etc..

Coming to this point, I would recommend consulting with his attending physician for a careful physical exam and some tests:

- a chest X ray study
- a cardiac ultrasound and a resting ECG
- NT-pro BNP levels for heart failure
- complete blood count, PCR, ESR for inflammation
- cortisol plasma levels for adrenal gland dysfunction
- thyroid hormone levels
- an abdominal ultrasound
- kidney and liver function tests, etc..

You should discuss with his doctor on the above tests. Further tests may be needed.
