Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My grandson (age 15) has grown up in Japan but is now living in California. When he went to have his athletic physical, his blood pressure registered 180/? and is now 140/65. Does this represent a problem...he is very slender and doesn t eat junk food. His doctor says he needs to go to a cardiologist but it seems so many kids have this issue the pediatric cardiologists are all booked up. He recently returned from a 4-week visit in Japan and the family is moving into a new apartment so perhaps these things would be an issue along with just starting high school.
