My age is 62 years, After my recent return from US to india I had a serious Jetlag for about 20 days and I found that my BP was maintaining as high as 180/95 continuouisly.
My doctor advised me to go for blood test ,Prostate, kidney tests etc. Every thing found Ok. But my BP level is not coming down.I was taking BP medicines for the last 20 years and BP was in control.Now even after 30 days of my journey from US it is not coming down. i am worried. what should I do now. Thanks for contacting HCM. dear patient you have not mentioned the medicines you are taking. But if your blood pressure is high and is persistently high for last 30 days and you are taking the same medication for last so many years and all your tests are normal, then its the time to change your blood pressure medication. Please get in touch with your doctor and he will advise you on the new medications. In past 20 years so many new and better drugs to control blood pressure have become available so you will be alright. Do not worry. Regards
