Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I'm a 26 year old male with hypertension. My blood pressure averages 160/110. I don't have high cholesterol, I'm not overweight, hypertension doesn't run in my family, I eat relatively healthy, my electrolytes, urea, and creatinine are normal, and I work at a job where I'm continually on my feet. There must be a reason why I have such a high blood pressure?
there are many reasons but are infrequent... most coomon cause at your age is renovascular hypertension.. you should consult to your doctor to rule to bilateral upper limb pulse inequality and renal artery stenosis and other things..after ruling out all these cause it will come in essential hypertension or in idiopathic category.but don't worry after starting medicine you will be fine.accept it happily
