What Causes High Blood Sugar Levels And Nausea?

I last ate at 4pm this afternoon. It is now 7:15pm and about 20 min ago I woke from a nap with a cold sweat, nausea, dizziness and blood sugar was at 171. I want to know if that blood level is harmful to my health and if that was the reason for my symptoms.

Diabetologist 's  Response
Hi, I had gone through your query and understood your concerns.

Sir, If your normal sugar level after that many hours should be less than 140. If you are non diabetic then get glucose tolerance test done. If you are already diabetic, then its of minor concern. sugar levels vary slightly now and then.

Coming to the other symptoms, when you sleep in such odd timings like evenings for that many hours, though not always it happens to have such symptoms some times. Sugar level has nothing to do with them.

Hope this guides you.
Thank you.
