Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello! Im sorry to hear that about your son.

Fever can be caused by a viral or bacterial infection. It is normal for the heart rate to go fast when there's fever or when the child is irritable. Are there other symptoms aside from the fever? Does he have colds, cough or rashes? If it is just a viral infection, you can expect fever for the next 3-5 days and the temperature should be getting lower as the days go by. Observe for other symptoms that might arise. If after 3 days, he still has high fever and is feeling worse, you better bring him back to your doctor.
I hope I was able to help you.

Sincerely,
