What Causes High Heart Rate And Shaky Hands When Suffering From High Blood Pressure?
Hi I have high blood pressure and this morning felt like my heart was racing very fast and my hands were quite shaky. We went to emerg but the wait was very long. The nurse did some test and came back with an answer of 48 which I m not sure what it was?? Can you help in telling me maybe what happened or what is wrong
Hi welcome to HCM. I understand your query and concern. Elevated blood pressure can significantly contribute to symptoms of high heart rate and tremors due to excessive sympathetic drive. All such symptoms need to be controlled pretty quickly to prevent the transferring of the load on to the pumping heart.Emergency reduction of blood pressure is vital in the management in your case.Drugs like beta blockers and ace inhibitors will help to reduce the blood pressure.A screening 2 dimensional echocardiography can help to detect any regional wall motion abnormalities. These drugs reduce the excessive sympathetic drive and cause the resolution of symptoms.Discuss with your cardiologist with regards to above. Post your further queries,if any. Thank you.
