Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I RECENTLY HAD AN AORTIC VALVE REPLACED, AND BECAUSE MY RESTING HEART RATE FLUXUATED BETWEEN 66 AND 35, THEY GAVE ME A PACE MAKER SET AT 60. bUT MY RESTING HEART RATE AT THE CARDIO REHAB WAS 115! AND HERE AT HOME SEVERAL HOURS LATER, IT IS STILL THAT HIGH. wHAT S GOING ON? tHEY WON T LET ME EXERCISE UNLESS IT S 100 OR LESS.
Respected sir I am very sorry for that..and I can understand your concern. You have permanent pacemaker implantation that was set at 60 / min.but your heart rate is 110.this shows either your pacemaker is not working or you may have some rhythm disturbances . I would like to advise you that you should go to your cardiologist and discuss about this issue with him.you can't neglect this..as it may cause more problems . He will take an ecg..check whether pace maker is working or not..hope this will help .
