What Causes High White Cell Count In A Colon Cancer Patient?
I had half of my colon removed back in 09, I had a large number of polyps that were very large. So they removed half of my colon, and the polyps did have cancer. I had the surgery at a V.A. hospital in Tenn. I was never put on cemo or anything . For about the last 6 months I have been feeling just like I did back then. My doctor has told me twice that my white cell count was high but not to worry.

What Causes High White Cell Count In A Colon Cancer Patient?
Hi After hearing your history i would advise you not to worry as your polyps that have cancer have been already removed. Regarding twice the white cell count you may have an internal infection which whill be detected in blood culture. If any infection is found then sensitive antibiotic has to be given. Also i would suggest you to do blood for CEA as you are having history of colon cancer Regards DR DE
