What Causes Hives After Removal Of Stitches?

I had surgery to repair an Achilles rupture on 8/12 and had my stitches removed on 9/6. I started to get some hives on my body 9/9 and I'm not sure if suture removal could start that or if I'm having a food allergy. The only food that I've eaten which I don't always eat was a lot of dried mangos that were sulfite free.
