What Causes Hole In Armpit?

I have a small hole in my arm pit the hurts a little to touch. I can maybe fit a qtip in the hole. I also have these purple bumps that look like acne and my doctor has tried a couple different treatments for the bumps but I just noticed the hole today. What is this?

Two possibilities come to mind.The first is furunculosis and the second is hidradenitis suppuritiva both of which presents with such lesions.The latter condition generally produces more pits and scarring.Avoid the use of deodorants on the area as both the conditions are aggregated by the same.You need to consult a dermatologist to confirm your diagnosis.
